Gary oversees purchasing, finances and the vision and direction of the company. With over 40 years of experience in the food service industry in restaurant, catering and industrial food service, Gary provides unparalleled expertise.
Patti Zylstra – Owner and Sales Director
Patti oversees all aspects of sales: corporate, special events, social, and weddings. Patti has extensive experience in event logistics and loves helping our clients execute their dream event.
Nate Brink – Employee Operations
Nate is the second child of Gary and Patti. He oversees kitchen staff, delivery operations and payroll management and assists in hiring event and kitchen staff. Our favorite thing about Nate is his handwritten thank you notes to our clients.
Allie Mowery – Senior Client Relations
Allie is the middle daughter of Gary and Patti. She handles planning and production of special events, as well as hiring, training and working with all event staff.
Rachael Zylstra – Fleet Operations
Rachael is the youngest daughter of Gary and Patti. She handles the logistics and management of all trucks and equipment, trains delivery staff and oversees back-of-the-house operations on special events.
Janell Mitchell – Head Chef
Janell is our in-house chef extraordinaire and creator of flavor-bursting dishes. She oversees all food production, menu development and the culinary team. Read our feature on Janell here!
Kristian Schneider – Culinary Specialist
Kristian is Janell’s right-hand man. He is spectacular with seafood, poultry and wild game, as well as traditional French and Italian cuisine.
Julie Lyzenga – Vegan Culinary Specialist
Julie is our vegan and vegetarian chef. Her attention to detail is clear in her cooking and plating skills.
Katie Sikkema – Baker
Katie bakes and decorates our beautiful housemade desserts.
Samantha Hasse – Banquet Captain
Samantha is the oldest daughter of Gary and Patti. She oversees special events, assists in production management and is the event manager on many of our larger staffed events.
Kourtney Wissink – Brand Ambassador
Kourtney helps with our special events and our deliveries. She is the head of our banquet servers when she is on an event.
Jacqui Dawson – Brand Ambassador
Jacqui is part of the delivery team and pays close attention to each order, ensuring that the client gets the correct items in a timely matter.
Chris Sommer – Corporate Sales
Chris leads the corporate sales team, maintains corporate client relations and helps design menus for corporate drop-offs and bi-weekly specials. She’s the smile on the other end of the phone when you call Catered Creations.
Linda Evans – Bookkeeper
Linda maintains all books, accounts payables and receivables—a job she does well with experience as a former teacher and banker.
Courtney Mackin – Project Manager
Courtney coordinates event logistics with our in-house team and our clients. She also ties all the loose ends in the office and keeps everything organized.
Michael Nomura – Maintenance
Michael keeps our properties and vehicles looking nice. He’s the extra hand you didn’t even know you needed.
